The Redpark USB-C Gigabit + PoE Adapter is the first Ethernet + PoE adapter specifically designed for USB-C iPads.
The adapter connects USB-C iPads to Ethernet (LAN) and uses Power over Ethernet (PoE+) to charge the iPad. This allows an iPad to receive both data and power through a single Ethernet cable when connected to a PoE+-compatible switch or a PoE+ injector.
When connected to an iPad, the adapter is immediately recognized as a network connection. The Ethernet connection can be configured via the Settings app on the iPad.
The adapter connects physically to the iPad using a USB-C to USB-C cable (sold separately). It supports 10/100/1000 networks and offers bandwidth up to 900 Mbps.
The C6-NETPOE delivers 3A 5V as required by Apple specifications for any USB-C iPad. Once the adapter is connected to an iPad or iPhone, "Ethernet" appears in the Settings app between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
