Microsoft Surface Go & Pro waterproof cases
Waterproofing comes in many forms and sizes, from splash-proof to fully waterproof for prolonged submersion. The degree of waterproofing you need depends on the intended use. As an indication, all waterproof products are provided with an IP-X code. Below, we explain what each code can mean for the waterproofing of the product concerned.
IPX-3
IPX-3 is splash-proof. This is one of the lightest forms of waterproofing according to the IPX standard. To be used with minimal exposure to water.

Minimum angle: Minus 60 degrees
Maximum angle: Plus 60 degrees
IPX-4
IPX-4 is splash-proof. This is a slightly better basic form of waterproofing according to the IPX standard. To be used against heavy downpours or a spilled can of drink.

IPX-5
IPX-5 is jet-proof. The golden mean between affordability and waterproofing according to the IPX standard. Can be used outdoors all day for professional purposes.

IPX-6 is the highest grade of jet-proofing according to the IPX standard. To be used in all scenarios except submersion in water.

IPX-7
IPX-7 is the first grade that can be submerged underwater according to the IPX standard. To be used for relatively short-term submersions.
Full submersion in water
Maximum 30 minutes
IPX-8
IPX-8 is the gold standard for submersion according to the IPX standard. Theoretically, products with this specification should protect the tablet indefinitely against submersion. Please note! Although the protective case is able to protect the tablet from water, not all devices are suitable for submersion due to the pressure created on the device. Consult the manufacturer for more information.
Antibacterial protective covers and cases for Microsoft Surface
